They are most welcomed by children. For nearly a century, Bing Xin’s works have been avidly read by hundreds of millions of Chinese children and have been a fundamental force, shaping modern Chinese children’s literature. This paper examines the development of Bing Xin’s “philosophy of love” as a social remedy through analysing her early works.
