Geology and hydrogeology of the emernica mountain massif, Western Serbia

The mountain massif of emernica, Western Serbia, is an orogenic feature of the Inner Dinarides. Hitherto, hydrogeological prospecting of the Massif was all on a regional scale, not detailed. Only scanty data, previously collected, were mappable on a scale larger than 1:100 000. The 2005 to 2008 research of the emernica Mountain Massif included geological and hydrogeological reconnaissance and mapping, the employment of remote sensing, a geophysical survey, the monitoring of quantitative and qualitative groundwater variation parameters, etc. The groundwaters of emernica are a large potential resource of water supply to multiple users. This paper is a contribution to the study of the geology and hydrogeology of the emernica Mountain Massif.
