Academic Culture of Remembrance. The combination of University History, Jubilees and Academic Heritage

As an introduction to the special issue of ‘Academic culture of remembrance: the combination of university history, jubilees and academic heritage’, this paper presents an account of the conference on this topic, organised at Ghent University in March 2011, aiming to reveal the main conclusions and points of discussion.
