The article addresses the need to increase the level of knowledge and information technology skills of each individual in society. Good knowledge of ICT directly affects productivity and increase efficiency throughout the economy. Therefore, the issue is also resolved at EU level. Support for education of citizens throughout the European Union is one of the tasks of improving competitiveness, technology development and raising the level of member countries. Educated population is a prerequisite for economic growth and use of new technologies. The article deals with trends in the educational process, contributing to improving the quality of teaching in formal education.
