Os conceitos de “lugar” e “n o-lugar” (Marc Augé) constituem um dos operadores de leitura dos dois textos contemporaneos que se debru am sobre o centro velho de Salvador, especialmente o Pelourinho e o Tabu o. O primeiro – fragmento da corrente de internet “Salvador, para aprender e se divertir”, divulgado após o carnaval de 2011. O segundo – o conto “O visitante invisível” de Carlos Ribeiro. Com humor, a corrente aponta o esvaziamento da regi o central e seu distanciamento da vida cotidiana. Configura-se o “n o-lugar”. A narrativa empreende transitos também através da geografia do centro velho, mas o itinerário eleito adota uma perspectiva bastante singular, uma vez que se desenham significativas interliga es com experiências existenciais do passado. O instante flagrado tece uma temporalidade subjetiva, articulada com um tempo de experiências emocionais. Estabelece-se o “lugar”. The concepts of “place” and “no place” (Marc Augé) comprise one the tools to do the reading of two contemporary texts which look into the old town of Salvador, especially Pelourinho and Tabu o. The first – extract from an internetchain known as “Salvador, learning and having fun” – Salvador, para aprender e se diverter – which was on the net right after the carnival of 2011. The second – a tale named “O visitante invisível” – The invisible visitor – by Carlos Ribeiro. Displaying some humor, the text points out the old town fleeing and its withdrawing from everyday life. Thus, a “no-place” is established. Such narrative also builds on remarks through the geography of the old town of Salvador, but the chosen itinerary adopts a quite unique perspective, given that meaningful connections with past life experiences are depicted. There is a subjective temporality. Thus, the “place” is set.
