Monitored anaesthesia care (MAC) in antalgic surgery

The use of surgical techniques for pain relief in the treatment of chronicpersistent pain unresponsive to drug therapy is experiencing a growing spread application in algology.These techniques have set themselves the goal of removing the pain after treatment.Therefore, not always, percutaneous or open procedures are carried out with due precaution necessary to alleviate the patient discomfortand suffering during the surgical intervention.We present our personal experience in the use of this technique Monitored Anaesthesia Care (MAC) for patients undergoing surgical treatment of pain management at our Regional Center of Pain Management.
