Abstract:

The work developed in the laboratory describes a recognized Science-Education strategy known as “Inquiry- based learning”. This is generated from an experimental stoichiometry problem whose main aim is to carry out an investigation. The problem of this project is to determine the sodium bicarbonate quantity in an Alka- Seltzer through two different methods: mass loss and gas collection. This proposal that makes it possible the students autonomous and active participation, improves the building conceptions processes and develops students skills.
