Packet Delay Variation Analysis of the CQ SwitchKeywords: Buffer length , crossbar switch , delay variation , scheduling algorithm Abstract: Packet delay variation analysis for a 32x32 crosspoint queued switch under uniform and IBP arrival traffic is presented in this paper. Different buffer sizes and several scheduling algorithms are observed: longest queue first, round robin, exhaustive round robin and frame based round robin matching. Results show that the least packet delay variation, among observed algorithms, causes round robin algorithm.
