O Papel da Produ o Intelectual no Sistema de Avalia o dos Programas de Administra o pela Capes

Since 1988, some changes were introduced in the evaluation process, due to the adoption of a quantitative bias, thus affecting the way of conceiving and organizing the Brazilian Post-graduation Program. This study analyzed the role of intellectual production in the triennial evaluation from the year 2007 until 2009, conducted by Capes for Academic Master and Doctorate in Business Administration programs. The survey had a descriptive and quantitative approach from documentary evidence. It was concluded that only the intellectual production requirement is not sufficient to achieve a good score in the evaluation of Capes.
