Ciência da religi o e ciências sociais: aproxima es e distanciamentos / Science of religion and social sciences: rapprochements and detachments

This article discusses the possibilities of theoretical and methodological rapprochementbetween the social sciences and the science of religion. Based on the available bibliography, it is intended to contribute to the debate through the characterization of the field and through the questioning of the positive asymmetry which elects legitimate areas of knowledge on one side, and marginal ones on the other. This differentiation projects itself at the level of the religious phenomenon, to the point of submitting it to the concretion and the suspension of temporality. A positive methodological posture denies to the scientist as well as to what interests him/her, i.e., religion, the religious language and experience, the temporality and the dynamism as traces of both, agents-agencies. Este artigo discute a possibilidade de aproxima o teórica e metodológica entre ciências sociais e ciência da religi o. Com base na bibliografia disponível, pretende-se contribuir ao debate pela caracteriza o do campo e pela problematiza o da assimetria positiva que elege áreas do conhecimento legítimas de um lado e áreas marginais do outro. Essa diferencia o projeta-se ao nível do fen meno religioso, a ponto de submetê-lo à concre o e à suspens o da temporalidade. A postura metodológica positiva nega tanto ao cientista quanto ao que lhe interessa, isto é, a religi o, a experiência e linguagem religiosa, a temporalidade e o dinamismo como tra os de ambos, agentes-agências.
