Abstract:

Prop e-se, com o presente artigo, refletir sobre as implica es da cultura de consumo bem como da mídia sobre os atores religiosos populares, a partir do estudo de uma comunidade católico-carismática de estrato popular. Perpassar o as reflex es questionamentos tais como as media es entre os atores religiosos, por meio de suas atividades, e a dimens o das for as midiáticas e do consumo. Partindo dessas considera es, constata-se que os fluxos e fronteiras entre mídia, consumo e carismatismo católico p em em pauta novas formas de hibrida o entre religi o e mundo pós-moderno. / This article aims to reflect upon the implications of the culture of consumerism as well as the media for popular religious actors, starting from the study of a poor Catholic Charismatic community. The reflections will touch questions such as the mediations between the religious actors, through their activities, and the dimension of media forces and consumerism. Starting from these considerations, it is noticed that the flows and boundaries between media, consumerism and Catholic Charismaticism put in debate new forms of hybridization between religion and post-modern world.
