La telenovela “resiste”: cambios y perspectivas de un género en transición

[es] El presente trabajo propone reflexionar sobre los cambios y las continuidades visibles en las telenovelas argentinas actuales a partir del análisis de una ficción televisiva en particular: Resistiré. Reconocida como uno de los formatos más repetitivos y estereotipados de la historia de la pantalla chica, la telenovela a fines de los noventa debió modificar algunos de sus rasgos más sobresalientes para sobrevivir. La emisión de Resistiré, en 2003, significó para muchos no sólo la aparición de una renovada propuesta a nivel temático, retórico y enunciativo, sino también un “renacimiento” del gé-nero que se consideraba en decadencia. [en] This article reflects on the changes and the continuities observed in current Argentinean soap operas and it is based on the analysis of a particular television series: “Resisteré”. Although it is well known that soap operas tend to be one of the most repetitive and stereotypic formats, they were forced to change some of their most important characteristics to survive at the end of nineties. The broadcasting of “Resistiré” in 2003 meant, for a big number of people, not only the appearance of a renewed proposal as regards topic, rhetoric and communication but also a rebirth of the genre which was considered to be in full decline.
