A LITERATURA INFANTOJUVENIL E A IDENTIDADE éTNICA: REPRESENTA ES DO NEGRO EM O CABELO DE LELêKeywords: children’s literature , representation of black , ethnic identity Abstract: The children’s literature, with a view to meet the need of building a multicultural society, is reshaping the way they are represented ethnic minorities. In this sense, this article focuses on the analysis of the representation of black children. To this end, part of the work O cabelo de Lelê (BELéM, 2007) and seeks to hear, through a study of narrative, the path taken by the protagonist to know and assert their identity. For the study of the work are presented, initially, some theoretical reflections about the relationship between literature, discourse and identity, based mainly in Bhabha (1992) and Foucault (2007). Then, we go to the study of O cabelo de Lelê in the subtitle “O cabelo de Lelê: representa o e valoriza o da identidade negra”.
