Análisis léxico de los Cuentos Inverosímiles de José López Rubio: entre lo real y lo inverosímil

This study approaches a linguistic analysis of Cuentos Inverosímiles by José López Rubio, abook including twenty-one histories published in 1924. After examining the neologisms, the borrowingsand the colloquial language used by the author, one can affirm that in the work there is an intentionalcontrast between the inverosímiles contents and the way the author represents them, fluctuating betweenreal and unreal expression. This contrast produces a special humour, the same that López Rubioexpressed in his later plays and in his life.
