"Que hable ahora o calle para siempre": la ética comunicativa de nuestra deliberación en torno al matrimonio igualitario "Speak now or forever hold your peace": the communicative ethics of our deliberation about equal marriage

Este artículo examina diversos documentos presentados en la discusión actualmente radicada en el Tribunal Constitucional y el proceso legislativo sobre el matrimonio igualitario. De dicho análisis concluye que la discusión pública chilena presenta un desigual cumplimiento de los estándares emanados de la ética comunicativa, la cual en este artículo es conceptualizada desde el trabajo de Carlos Nino. This article examines various documents put forward within the context of the discussion on equal marriage currently being held at the Constitutional Tribunal and the legislative process. From this analysis, it concludes that Chilean public deliberation presents an uneven fulfillment of the standards stemming from communicative ethics, which in this article is conceptualized from the perspective of the work of Carlos Nino.
