DVEMATCH: A Matching Algorithm for Distributed Virtual Environment

The high cost of communication in distributed virtual environment leads a big challenge toits communication model. Recently, Content-based Publish/ Subscribe model, which satisfies thehigh communication requirement, has been applied to distributed system. Event matching is the keyproblem of this model. Therefore, based on the analysis of event matching in distributed virtualenvironment and the research of current event matching algorithms, a new matching algorithm(DVEMATCH) is proposed in this paper, in which the efficiency of both publication and subscriptionis considered. It has been shown in experiments that the new algorithm is efficient and suitable toimplement event matching in distributed virtual environment.
