Identification of the therapeutic conditions follow up from hypertension bearersKeywords: nursing , hypertension , patient compliance , medication adherence , primary health care. Abstract: Objective: to investigate the therapeutic management of hypertension persons at primary health care. Method: this is about an exploratory study, performed from July to October 2008, that investigated sociodemographic characteristics, health conditions and therapeutic degree following from hypertension patients in primary health service, the ethics aspects were respected and the research was accredited for Research Ethics Committee of Federal University of Ceará protocol number 89/08. Results: the participants were 32 patients, the most women, from 41 to 60 years old, most married, with income between R$ 301,00 and 600,00 reais a month. The cardiovascular risk presence was notorious in most participants that presented obesity type I (43,7%), abdominal circumference overweight (75%) and amended pressure values (62,5%). Just one patient presented ideal adherence and 53,1% presented no adherence. Conclusion: people who do not have ideal adherence presented most cardiovascular risks and need continuous health orientations from professionals as the nurse to help with necessary changes incorporation.
