This article addresses the concepts of region, regionalization and regional identity. Intends to examine these concepts from different approaches and see how it fits with the old and the new administrative organization of Morocco. For this, we intend to reveal the differences between the political level in the treatment of the issue and the proposals of geographers today. In conclusions, these issues and topics have been covered in the book Maroc. Régions, pays, territoires (2002), coordinated by us.
