LAS HUMANIDADES EN EL SIGLO XXI

From the Middle Ages until today, it is possible to appreciate that the so called “Humanities” are focused on different perspectives and considerations. As of 1900, under the Positivism egis, Humanities were considered sciences, but in order to distinguish them from the natural and exact sciences, they were called “Sciences of the Spirit” or Human Sciences. Gradually, along the 20th century, a fusion among them took place, together with many other different sciences like medicine, in an interdisciplinary combination. Nowadays, the rampant technology, the mass media and the social networks have contributed to change their appreciation, however, these facts will not succeed in making Humanities disappear.
