AN INTRODUCTION TO THE OBJECT a CONCEPT

This article aims to show some points in Freudian writings and in Lacan's teaching that might have contributed for the elaboration of the concept of object a which is done from The Seminar, Book 10, The Anguish (1962-63) on. Here the definition of object a is connected with anguish cause and desire cause. The concept of object a brings significant changes for Lacan's psychoanalysis and has an important role for the study of how the subject is constituted as well as for the understanding of anguish and some other topics.
