Images and Rules-Based Decision Support System in Ultrasound Examination of Abdominal Zone

Two main approaches are used in the development of computer-aided decision support systems in medicine: (i) based on the processing of images obtained during medical investigations, (ii) based on rules. At present, various combinations of these two techniques become more adequate and assure a great perspective for this domain.SonaRes system combines the two basic approaches of ultrasound diagnostic systems development by providing the decision making on the base of both rules and images.
