This journal version of the book contains four of its chapters. These chapters provide a description of the preparation of the Belogradchik uprising of 1850 – the meeting of the Belogradchik leaders with the Russian Great Duкe Constantine Nikolaevich at Athos monastery; the activity of the Belogradchik conspirators before the uprising; the first national assembly in the winter of 1849 at the Monastery of Rakovitsa.
