Theoretical and experimental analysis of thermal pollutants with exhaust gases of marine diesel engines

The article presents the results of the investigation for determination of the heat capacity of exhaust gases of marine diesel engines of the Volga-Caspian region. The amount of heat and consumption of pollutants from the exhaust gases of the main diesel engines are determined basing on the results of full-scale tests on vessels. The obtained information is used to calculate the design and operating parameters of heat recovery systems of exhaust gases of marine diesel engines.
