Abstract:

The importance of corporate reputation and the measurement of reputation increase for the companies, as the amount of threat and the awareness about the reputation – which adds great value to corporates - increases in global competion and risk era. The academic work around the corporate reputation management and specifically the measurement of the corporate reputation may guide the corporates who are targeting sustainable success. With this purpose, in this study, the necessity to measure the corporate reputation, the global measurement methods and Turkey’s Reputation Index as a method to measure corporate reputation will be analized and the benefits of the Index to companied will be highlighted. Additionally, based on the outcomes of Turkey’s Reputation Index 2011, an evaluation on the reputation of the electronic sector, which is critically important in the sustainable development of Turkey will be made.
