Multi-segment Printed Monopole Antenna for Multi- band Wireless Communication

A novel planar monopole antenna capable of multi-band operation is proposed. The proposed antenna has eight segment planar rectangular radiation patches placed on a baseline segment, fed by a CPW-feed. The proposed structures cover the useful bands such as IEEE 802.11 a, b, etc. Details of the proposed design along with the simulation and experimental results obtained are presented and discussed.
