Theorizing the Marketplace of Religiosity: A Recent Literature Review

This article envisages the approaches of the recentliterature relevant to the study of the relation between economy andreligion. The article makes appeal to the recent literature on theimplications of the religious markets and the Church-State relationship. The study is also interested in the effects of economic growth on religiosity. Other comments are made on the social and economic consequences of religious beliefs.
