O presente artigo apresenta uma revis o teórica sobre os estudos dos sistemas atmosféricos em cavernas, com enfoque na apresenta o de suas principais características e sua rela o com o manejo espeleológico. S o abordados aspectos inerentes ao comportamento habitual da temperatura, umidade relativa do ar, concentra o de gás carb nico e rad nio e dos fluxos de energia. As considera es finais ressaltam a necessidade de estudos espeleoclimáticos de longo prazo em cavernas brasileiras, tanto focados em quest es de manejo quanto no conhecimento básico de seus padr es de variabilidade atmosférica. SPELEOCLIMATE AND ITS APLICATIONS IN THE TOURISM MANAGEMENT IN CAVES Abstract: This paper present a review about the studies of atmospheric systems in caves, focused on the presentation of its main characteristics and the relationship with management of tourism in caves. Some inherent aspects of the patterns of temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide and radon concentration and the energy flow are addressed. The article highlights the necessity of long-term speleoclimatic studies in Brazilian caves, focused both in management issues and in the basic knowledge of its atmospheric variability patterns.
