A CORPORATE STRATEGY FOR THE PREVENTION OF MATERNAL DEATH IN THE STATE OF GUERRERO, MEXICO

This work reflects on the actions taken to preventmaternal mortality at local level for two agents:Guerrero government trough Women Secretary and theactive participation of four social organizationscompromised to a worthy, sure and pleasantmotherhood. It is interested to show the approaches andexpectations of a program executed from 2005 to 2009.Particularly, it’s demonstrated that the alliance betweenSEMUJER and social organizations contributes togenerate specific actions to offset the possibility ofdying for risks associated to motherhood, though theseare still insufficient. The work is qualitative, and itsanalysis supports the gender relations.
