PEACE EDUCATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF EL SALVADOR

This article attempts to disclose elements from the Salvadoran education framework – that is classist, positivist, and economistic – that contribute to building peace through education. It tries to look at education from another perspective, thus a pacific perspective. However, it recognizes that this perspective is hidden by ethnocide, militarism, dictatorship, repression, denial of indigenous, neoliberalism, among other hostile social, cultural, political, and economical factors to the Peace Culture and Education.
