HPV VACCINATION - PROPHYLACTIC CONDUCT

Following the screening made as part of the research, during April 2010–2011, and as immediate result of realizing the seriousness of the disease and the long term consequences caused by cervical neoplasia, 1143 women accepted vaccination, which means 6.8% of the patients who came for a consult at the surgeries in Iaúi and Buz u. After analyzing the epidemiologic characteristics we can draw the conclusion that women aged between 20-29 years old, coming from the cities and having a high education were the most frequent ones to accept vaccination. The most frequently used vaccine was Silgard (60.9%).
