CORAK PEMIKIRAN TASAWUF AL-GHAZALI

The article discusses the mysticism thought of a prominent sufi master, al-Ghazali. It argues that his thoughts is influenced by Sunni theological orientation by giving an emphasis on Islamic orthodoxy. Therefore, to study his mysticism, it is important not only to discuss his background, but also his orientation. These two are of significant topics of discussion of the article. Artikel ini mendiskusikan pemikiran tasawuf al-Ghazali. Penulis berargumen bahwa pemikirannya sangat dipengaruhi oleh teologi Sunni, karena itu menekankan pada aspek ortodoksi. Menjelaskan pemikiran tasawufnya, oleh karena itu, harus memperhatikan tidak saja latar kehidupannya, namun juga latar teologinya. Keduanya menjadi topik inti dalam artikel ini.
