Souvenirs d’un auditeur pour un avenir des musiques électroacoustiques?Abstract: The Belgian musicologist examines some aspects of the use of technology in the field of contemporary music production, from the fruition point of view. He consid- ers the revolution that their impact caused by creating a hierarchy of the ‘acoustic dimension’ that differs profoundly from that inherited from history. By comparing the ‘acoustic’ sounds with the ‘electroacoustic’ ones, the author assesses the differ- ent implications of the ‘musical sense’ of the latter, in relation to their use and their production, stressing the need for a contextualization of their expressive values inside musical composing.
