The paper aims to defend classical numerical monism against thesis about predicativemonism (Barnes, Curd). The instrumentarium is rich in philological-philosophicalargumentation. The main line is the thesis of Mourelatos about Greek words ongenos, genes suffixes and the argumentation of C.H. Kahn from The thesis onParmenides. Argumentation is also against localistic interpretation of sphericity ofBeing in Parmenides.
