This article presents a reflection on the curriculum guidelines, the competence approach and nursing education, contextualizing the practices of Planning and Management in Health and Social Control. Was drawn from the research literature and documents. The reflections presented point to the need to define proposals for the formation of a professional with skills that help you cope with the diversity of real work situations, especially those arising out of management functions andmanagement units and health services, acting as agents strengthening management and social control in SUS.
