Los monitoreos de insectos efectuados en los cultivos de soja del noroeste argentino (NOA) durante las campa as 2005/2006, 2006/2007 y 2007/2008 resultaron en el hallazgo de adultos de Rhyssomatus subtilis Fiedler, 1937. Esta nota es la primera cita de dicha especie para la Argentina. No se conoce el hospedero original, por lo tanto, la soja es también la primera planta registrada como hospedera de esta especie. Samplings of insects on soybean crops during 2005/2006, 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 seasons in Northwestern Argentina (NWA) led to the discovery of adults of Rhyssomatus subtilis Fiedler, 1937. This note is the first report of this species in Argentina. In addition, soybean is reported for the first time as a host plant for this species in Argentina.
