Latex Allergy - Illustrative Case Report

Natural latex from rubber-tree is allergenic with significant cumulative latex exposure, as seen in healthcare providers and workers in rubber industry and also patients who had undergone surgeries early in life [1] . Symptoms of latex allergy may progress rapidly and unpredictably to anaphylaxis. Diagnosis is usually made initially by history. A case report of atypical contact dermatitis type of latex allergy is described in this case report.
