An investigation of organizational entrepreneurship using analysis of managerial -organizational factors in agricultural extension agency of Kermanshah province in Iran

This study was done to investigate the role of managerial-organizational factors in developing organizational entrepreneurship in the agricultural extension agency in Kermanshah province, western Iran. The study was done using the correlation method and a relational-causal model. There were 456 people working as agricultural extension agents in Kermanshah province and they formed the population of this research. 210 people were chosen from the population for the sample set in accordance with the Morgan table and a stratified random sampling method was applied for classification. The research tools included a questionnaire whose validity was confirmed based on the collective opinion of university professors and experts of Borujerd Branch, Islamic Azad University. The validity of the questionnaire was calculated using Cranach’s alpha test for organizational entrepreneurship development and managerial-organizational factors, α was 0/87, 0/94 respectively and results from this calculation indicated that the research tools were chosen correctly; correlation and path analysis were used (SPSS15) for data analysis. Results showed a meaningful and positive relationship between organizational entrepreneurship and managerial-organizational factors (p=0/01). The results of the path analysis showed that out of seven variables, three were identified as significant employee managerial-organizational factors, they were as follows; (1) using researching-learning opportunities of the organization, (2) an organization's level of cooperation and (3) managerial support of the organization. These factors had the highest causal effects in the development of organizational entrepreneurship in the agricultural extension organization of Kermanshah province.
