A COMPENDIUM OF EXPEDITION OF 'PARIBRAJAK' VIVEKANANDA: A RELIGIOUSLY GEOGRAPHER

Swami Vivekananda, the 'Messenger of Indian wisdom to the Western world', the most influential personality in Hinduism, who successfully brought in the simplified Hindu preaching to the commoners understanding, who was the first to realize the graveness of poverty and strength of common mass, who realize the need of two kinds of knowledge: secular knowledge to improve their economic condition, and spiritual knowledge to infuse in them faith in themselves and strengthen their moral sense, who proved the beauty and power of word. He opened the door to Sanatan Hindu dharma to the world leading to religious globalization. In his endeavor to simplify Hindu preaching and spread to the world and thus le them to light of knowledge he had set for long exhaustive trips in 17 countries, 75 locations of the World. This paper encompasses these extensive and intensive tours in and outside India with its geographical analysis.
