Este artigo apresenta um conjunto de fontes de informa es importantes para gera o de novos conhecimentos e, também, algumas ferramentas úteis no processo de armazenamento e divulga o de novas pesquisas, de modo a contribuir para o fortalecimento e crescimento desses novos Institutos. Além da leitura da obra de Campello, Cedón e Kremer de 2000, foi feito um mapeamento de outras fontes de informa o e ferramentas de gerenciamento. Conclui-se que as bibliotecas tem um papel importantíssimo na divulga o dessas informa es bem como na participa o da cria o de novos instrumentos de gest o do conhecimento. [English]There are considerable change about the transformation of the Federal Centers for Education in Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The Changes is not simple exchange of names. This article, based on a literature search and consultation to various websites, presents a number of important information sources for the generation of new knowledge and also some useful tools for storage and dissemination of new research. It contribute to thestrengthening and growth of these new institutes. Besides reading the work of Campello, Cedón and Kremer , 2000, it was a survey of other information sources and management tools. It is concluded that the libraries have an important role inthe dissemination of information and participation in the creation of new tools of knowledge management.
