PLANTAS HEPATOTóXICAS PARA BOVINOS NO MUNICíPIO DE ITAPIRANGA – SC

Because of suspected poisoning by phytotoxins in cattle of Itapiranga-SC region, it was observed the need of performing a detailed study on the prevalence of hepatotoxic plants in that town. These plants, or parts of them, are usually present in pastures, preserved forages and grains with which the animals are fed, that makes more likely the accidental intake. When we performed a study in the region, it was noticed the presence of some plants classified as hepatotoxic which were described in the present paper in order to reduce the recurrence of severe organic lesions and thus breeding lost.Em decorrência das suspeitas de intoxica es dos bovinos da regi o de Itapiranga - SC por fitotoxinas, observou-se a necessidade de realizar um estudo detalhado sobre a predominancia de plantas hepatotóxicas neste município. Tais plantas, ou parte delas, est o geralmente presentes nas pastagens, forrageiras conservadas, gr os com os quais os animais s o nutridos, o que torna seu consumo acidental ainda mais provável. Realizando um estudo da regi o constatou se a presen a de algumas plantas classificadas como tóxicas, as quais foram descritas no presente trabalho com o intuito de minimizar a recorrência de les es organicas graves e assim, prejuízo nas cria es.
