The essay offers a lecture of the novel The Trial, trying to recognize at least two relative figures in it of one of the most sensitive experiences of Kafka’s literature: the suffering of the power. These figures are the clothing and the secret. Moreover, as a means of introduction, the perspective of the protagonist is intended to be thought as a particularly terrifying manner of the vigil.
