Dialogismos, silencios y lagunas en la narración de "Revolutionary Road" de Richard YatesKeywords: Revolutionary Road , narration , dialogism , representation , open work Abstract: Richard Yates′s Revolutionary Road (1961) exemplifies Umberto Eco′s definition of an “open work”. Therefore, this article aims to delve into the narration in order to examine the dialogism between an external narrator and an internal one, the main character, along with the contradictions and silences derived from the narrative techniques. The examination of the narrative techniques unveils an interpretation that has been traditionally overlooked, in spite of its importance as far as Yates′work is concerned.
