José Campubrí y "La Prensa". Pilar del Hispanismo en Nueva York

This article summarises the interesting and important work of bringing Spain closer to the United States, through the New York newspaper La Prensa and its owner and chairman, José Camprubí. María de Maeztu, Conchita Piquer and Jacinto Benavente visited New York and this is analysed in detail. José Camprubí′s life, education and attitude give him a very important position inside the Hispanism in New York during the first half of the last century.
