THE PLACE OF LITERATURE CLASSES IN FRENCH LANGUAGE TEACHING PROGRAMS

The curriculum of teacher training programs has changed several times since 1982 when the management of the educational faculties has been left to Y K. The curriculum has also covered core classes of literature in foreign language programs. However, core classes in literature have not remained static; they have rather changed in content, number, title and approach in teaching and analysis. In this study the place of literature classes in French Language Department Programs, the subsequent changes and the results done in 1982, 1998 and 2006 are deal with. We have come to the conclusion that the number of literature classes is lowered in the curriculum accredited in 2006.
