Abstract:

In this article I intend to analyze, under a Foucauldian perspective,the work of fiction A Clockwork Orange (1962) by Anthony Burgess, and its movie adaptation directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1971. The objective of this paper is to identify the similarities and differences between both speech forms, which share a similar theme – the mechanisms of surveillance and punishment.
