Analysis of the causes of the most frequent anomalies in industrial floor coatings with epoxy resins

In the present paper, a classifying system of the causes of the most common anomalies in epoxy coatings in industrial floors is presented, which results from a system of inspection and diagnosis created within a Construction Master Thesis project at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). In this project surveys of 29 floors of industrial units with this coating solution were performed, which allowed the calibration of the system proposed and led to the conclusions presented in the paper.
