A dan a de S o Gon alo nos faxinais de Rio Azul/PR

This paper deals with S o Gon alo dance in the “faxinais” of Marumbi dos Elias and Taquari, Rio Azul, Parana, Brazil. It involves storytelling of these subjects that have long remained on the margins of historiography. The “faxinal system” is a typical land use in Southern Brazilian state of Parana. We use Oral History as a method to understand what is the meaning and function of S o Gon alo dance in the culture of “faxinal”.
