Essay: Objetividade e subjetividade no conhecimento histórico: a oposi o entre os paradigmas positivista e historicista

This article aims to discuss issues on the relation between Objectivityand Subjectivity in the historiographic operations, by examining thePositivist and Historicist paradigms in order to develop a more ffectiveanalysis of the issue. Positivism and Historicism are here displayed as antagonistic paradigms, and their main characteristics are exposed in a comparative parallel.
