The creation of spaces to house workers is an important chapter of Brazilian industrialization. There are many designations that these places have been in Brazil since the late nineteenth century, depending on their characteristics as to size, shape, location, political and administrative status, the type of activities which are linked and when they arise, is that workers’ village is one of the most common. Thus, the emergence of the industry brought with it an attempt to reorganize work and especially of workers’ control in certain circumstances of everyday life of the nineteenth century.
