Formed in History, Philosophy and Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, at the time and living in S o Louren o - Santa Catarina - Jo o David Folador is hired to write the Coronel Vivida first story. Very few details left on the author, coming in near oblivion in the city. From this perspective, this work, search reflect on this venture, and seek to understand the choice of themes in the work and the theoretical and methodological stance adopted by the author.
